'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Recap: Reunion, Part One

This reunion is promised to be one full of drama. Following the taping a few weeks ago, several of the cast members plus Andy have admitted that the day was grueling and one of the most dramatic reunions yet.

After a bit of small talk, things get serious when Andy questions how long Kim and Kyle have gone without talking. Turns out the sisters haven’t spoke in months. The topic is discussed for a mere 5 seconds before Kyle starts to blame Brandi. Kim tells Kyle that she’s happy with the way their relationship is now, AKA not talking Wow, deep.

Now the ladies are talking about Brandi calling Yolanda’s daughter an alcoholic. Even if you are a fan of Brandi, you have to admit that was dreadfully below the belt. It’s kind of sad seeing Yolanda on this reunion. She has been battling lyme disease recently and it’s obvious that this may be a bit of task for her. Nonetheless, she’s doing her best and is right on track with her responses to Andy’s questions. Unfortunately, Yolanda is already tired and dismisses herself from the set before we head off to a break.

Lisa Rinna is talking about how her depends commercial made her more than anything else she’s ever done in her life. When asked if it were over 7 figures she responds, “absolutely.” Lisa Rinna calls Brandi out for calling her anorexic over a text message. Brandi says that wasn’t the case. Brandi then calls Kyle out for smoking marijuana, Kyle says “at least I don’t walk around naked with a tampon hanging out.” Wow. These ladies back to another break. And it’s much needed.

Kim starts to butt in with her opinions of Lisa Rinna. For some reason she has had it out for her so bad this season. Truthfully, I don’t think Lisa Rinna is a bad person or the problem that Kim thinks she is. Sounds like Kim is simply trying to deflect her issues onto someone else. Someone else that was, initially, willing to help her, which is sad. Richards tells Rinna that she has “more pride” than her. This is where one of the best one liner’s of the night comes in from Andy Cohen himself when he says to Kim, "You did Diving with the Stars!” Burn. Rinna claims she turned down that show, but admits she’s done almost every other reality show. It’s funny because it’s true! However, Rinna is proud of all her tv appearances, as she should be. She then starts to talk about how people think she is too thin, which Kim Richards also uses a target for insults, and Rinna explains why she is the way she is. Saying that her parents have been really sick this year, she admits it has taken a toll on her, but claims she does not have an eating disorder like some people say she does. Eileen Davidson echoes this thought, saying she’s known Rinna for 20 years and she’s always been “naturally athletic.”

We’re back and seeing flashbacks of Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi’s time together. A number of their scenes together are so fun and really remind you of the old days when they were friends and hung out together all the time. Of course the clip ends with the slap scene. It is really sad to see these two not be friends. For the longest time, Vanderpump was Brandi’s biggest ally and their times filming together were always really fun to watch. It’s sad it can’t be that way anymore.

A viewer question asks Vanderpump why there is a separate set of rules for Brandi compared to the other women who she’s forgiven easily. Brandi accuses Kyle of claiming that Lisa was broke, lived in Calabasas, and was having an affair. Kyle loses her mind and goes crazy. Several of the claims on Brandi’s behalf are somewhat petty. She even tells Kyle that she hates her because she is “horrible.” She called her a number of other things that were terrible.

Eileen is talking about her times being offended by Brandi. For example, the throwing of the wine. Lisa Rinna is speaking up saying that she understands everyone’s stance against Brandi. These arguments are going all over the place.

Brandi admits to sleeping with Lisa’s son’s friend. Both nights that they were together. She even snaps on Andy, “I’ve taken enough abuse here, I’m not going to take it from you too.” Brandi, that’s your boss. Take it easy.

Brandi also talked about Kenya Moore following their stint on The Celebrity Apprentice, claiming she is “very smart and a little bit crazy and evil.”
While this episode didn’t bring out a huge brawl between the ladies, it’s certain that the foundation for several arguments has been set.
