Taylor Swift was single for a while before getting together with Calvin Harris but she’s now blaming that on the public’s opinion of her when it comes to relationships.
The “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer, 25, has been mocked at awards shows and social media for dating and quickly breaking up with famous faces - and subsequently writing songs about it - like One Direction’s Harry Styles and actor Jake Gyllenhaal and frankly, she was sick of it.
She first gushed about her new-found sense of independence, but called it “sad” how she arrived there.
"It's kind of a sad way I got there though, being shamed into it," she told Glamour UK.
"What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think its fair."
Swift hasn’t been linked to anyone since she split from Styles in 2013. She has been seen showing PDA with Calvin Harris lately though, starting in late March.
