It’s widely known that Taylor Swift is a hopeless romantic, but not everyone knows that her most recent rendezvous was with the Easter bunny. On April 5, Swift posted two videos that briefly let us into the life of the Swift family and their traditions for Easter festivities.
Both Swift siblings Taylor and brother, Austin, while well out of their childhood still participate in an annual Easter egg hunt. Not only do they go along with their parents’ traditions, they take it very seriously. One caption for the uploaded videos read, “When your parents arrange a competitive sibling Easter egg hunt, failing to take into account that their children are Ross and Monica,” referring to the 90’s show Friends characters who are insanely competitive about everything. The first video shows Austin holding Taylor back from getting any eggs while he “scrambles” to get more than her.
The iHeart Radio Music Award winner for Best Lyrics was decked out in yoga pants and tennis shoes; obviously taking extra measures due to the extraneous physical activity required for the “all for fun” hunt. She posted another video of the two searching for eggs, as she jumps in and out of shrubbery, while brother Austin, who on the other hand is barefoot, seems to be relatively relaxed. The caption reads, “I’VE GOT LIKE A HUNDRED GOOD LUCK.”
You can hear her parents’ laughter in the background of both videos, making this a true sentimental family activity. Swift also posted a photo of her Easter basket with the tagline, “When you’re 25 and your mom is still like….”
Easter wasn’t the only celebration that occurred over the weekend for Swift. She threw best friend Abigail Anderson, who’s mentioned in a couple of Swift’s songs, an unforgettable birthday party including celebrity guests Hayley Williams, Dashboard Confessional, Kings of Leon, and Lily Aldridge, Billboard confirmed.
We all knew Taylor Swift was passionate about her music and fans, but who knew she’d be so into childhood Easter festivities.
