NCIS: Los Angeles focused on an incident where a missile was hijacked and attacked a boat that was in the water. It belonged to a dentist named Maslow, who is not sure how the boat ended up away from the marina where it had been docked and the investigation leads to his son, Wyatt and a roommate of his named Josh Pettiford. Wyatt has a girlfriend named Malee Vipada, who becomes central to the case itself.

While the team investigates the hacking, they get help from a young woman named Blaze, a genius who is getting prepared to work at Quantico. She helps them go undercover to stop hackers that are part of a group known as Disavow. This episode also displays some moments of jealousy from Nell when she seems to get close to Eric.
This episode focused mainly on the case and how everyone worked together in order to bring the case to justice. Becca Tobin, best known for her role as Kitty Wilde on Glee, was a breath of fresh air in this episode and it was great to see her in a role like this that allowed her talents to shine.
