Republicans and Democrats may not always agree but it looks like they both have one common interest… Taylor Swift.
CNN reports that 19 congressional lawmakers and political action committees reserved private boxes at the pop star’s concert at National Park on July 14 and 15.

The seats are supposed to be used to host fundraisers and the number of political fans who are advertising events at the concert has heightened.
CNN reports that the 13 Republicans and six Democrats plan to charge $750 to $2,500 per ticket to supporters during the show. Tickets for regular concertgoers averaged around $60.
However, according to the Sunlight Foundation, this is not the first time politicos used Swift’s concert for fundraising.
When Swift toured in D.C. in 2010 and 2011, a smaller group of politicians visited the concert for fundraising purposes, as well.
While the people of Congress have some power over the government, Taylor recently appeared for the first time on Forbes Most Powerful Women’s list at No. 64.
