Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart are back together again, but not for an Adventureland sequel like we were hoping for. Instead, they star in Lionsgate’s American Ultra, which got a red-band trailer today.
In the film, Eisenberg plays a stoner whose strange alternate life as a trained assassin is awoken when Connie Britton visits the convenience store he works at. Stewart plays his girlfriend, who he’s about to propose to, and John Leguizamo is his friend.
Nima Nourizadeh, who directed Project X, directed American Ultra. It has been scheduled for Aug. 21. It was written by Chronicle’s Max Landis.
You can check out the trailer below, which is definitely NSFW. We also bet that the film was made before Batman v Superman, since Eisenberg has some long hair in this.
