Ever wonder what Professor Snape’s voice would sound like if he inhaled helium?
Alan Rickman stopped by The Tonight Show and inhaled the helium out of balloons with host Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, notes Entertainment Weekly.
“This is fantastic,” Fallon said when he saw Rickman holding two balloons. “What is this? Is it my birthday?”
Rickman revealed that the balloons were not celebratory, but instead “truth-telling” balloons. He brought them as a way to get Fallon to apologize for his “Rickman-Off” he had played with Benedict Cumberbatch.
Fallon untied his balloon and sucked some the helium out of it to apologize to his guest. Rickman followed Fallon’s lead and inhaled the helium, altering his iconic voice to accept his apology.
The helium was then used as a means of interviewing for Fallon, who asked Rickman to say the title character of the eight films he had starred in. “The young boy with the scar…” Fallon hinted.
“This is very difficult, but it’s Harry Potter,” Rickman hilariously replied with a high-pitched voice.
