Hollywood reacts to the death of Academy Award-winning composer James Horner

Academy Award-winning composer James Horner passed away Monday in a plane crash. Horner is responsible for some of the most emotive and powerful songs and scores from classic films including Titanic and Braveheart. He has touched millions with his music and leaves behind a phenomenal musical legacy. Celebrity fans of the renowned composer took to Twitter to express their condolences.

Celine Dion is among the many who paid their respects to Horner. The singer co-wrote the iconic love theme “My Heart Will Go On” with Horner and Will Jennings, which scored them an Oscar in 1998 for Best Original Song.

Singer Josh Groban shared the song Horner wrote for him from the Troy soundtrack on Twitter, explaining its “special meaning” to him.
