After the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage, Jimmy Kimmel decided to see what kids thought about the whole situation.
Kimmel, as curious as always, wondered how people explained gay marriage to their children and if the kids were sophisticated enough to understand same-sex marriage.
He sent an interviewer out on the streets to gather information and the results are shocking.
Most of the kids were very open-minded and insightful about gay marriage. While some had no idea, others were very informed about the whole situation.
When the interviewer asked a little girl if she knew about gay marriage, she got it right away.
“Do you think that’s very hard to understand?” asked the interviewer.
“For some kids,” the girl responded honestly.
Another boy had some wise thoughts on gay marriage. “If they want to, they should be able to.”
Then again, some of the children had trouble with the concept of marriage. When asked why someone would get married, a little boy responded, “because they’re pregnant.”
