Kanye West has a lot women in his life but often finds himself thinking of one: his mother.
The notoriously private rapper opened about his late mother Donda West, his success and his family in a candid interview with U.K. music magazine Q.
“If I had never moved to L.A. she’d be alive,” West told the magazine. “I don’t want to go far into it because it will bring me to tears.”
Donda West died at age 58 after suffering complications from a plastic surgery procedure in Los Angeles back in 2007, notes E! News.

West was also asked about what he has sacrificed for his accomplishments, which includes winning several Grammy Awards, starting a successful clothing line, and becoming a husband and father, he had a very simple answer, “My mom.”
Kanye, who is currently in Europe heading the 2015 Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. this weekend, also talked about his two-year-old daughter North West. He revealed how he manages to spend time with his little girl despite having such a busy schedule.
"While [Nori's] here in Europe I have to have six hours a day with her because otherwise I'll just work and she'll get scheduled around meetings," he told Q. "Instead, the meetings get scheduled around her."
Kanye’s full interview with Q Magazine is featured in its August 2015 issue available June 30.
