Julie Chen welcomes us to the first live eviction of the summer. We also will find out which houseguest has been playing with a twin.
We go back inside the house post POV Meeting. Jace is completely stunned that he has been nominated. He goes outside to cool off and trying to stay calm. Jace goes to the HOH room to talk with James and demands some answer. James claims he can’t compete against Jace and this isn’t a personal move. Jace doesn’t believe any of it. He also doesn’t believe Audrey when she tells him she had nothing to do with this.
Jace is going to do whatever he can to stay. He begins campaigning for votes with the other
HG. He then begs the house to keep him. Audrey and Jace go at it outside where Jace wants the house to know that Audrey has been lying the whole time. Audrey tells Jace that the whole house knew this plan the entire time. It seems very unlikely that Jace will stay this week.
We also find out which HG is using the Twin Twist. We find out that Liz has a twin sister Julia that has been playing the game with her. They have switched four times and the next time they switch is going to be during the first live eviction. They get about 10-15 minutes when they switch to tell the other what has been happening. It seems that the house doesn’t suspect anything.
We return to the living room for the first live eviction of the summer. Jackie and Jace both plead their safety, with Jace calling out the alliance that betrayed him, mainly James. Jeff, Da’Vonne, Jason and Steve all vote to evict Jace. Audrey in a questioning move votes to evict Jackie. The twins Liz and Julia vote to evict Jace while they make their fifth switch so far. The rest of the HG vote to evict Jace, making the final vote 12-1. Jace goes out with some class and says good-bye to everybody.
Jace joins Julie outside the house. He thinks he could have come into the game too strong. He figures that Audrey was going to be the one vote to save him. He told his close friends not to vote for him. Jace watches his good-bye messages and is shocked to find out about the Twin Twist.
The HG are sitting in the kitchen post-eviction when the BBTakeover music hits and we see that Kathy Griffin is here to do her takeover of the game. She tells the HG to head out to the backyard. Kathy Griffin joins Julie Chen to talk before she does her takeover. I can honestly say I’m not a fan of hers. Kathy likes Audrey and Da’Vonne but thinks Vanessa is playing one of the best games so far. Kathy’s twist is that a telephone will be in the house and she will randomly call the HG. The seventh person to answer the phone will have the power to keep three HG from voting at next week’s eviction.
We go back to the backyard for tonight’s HOH competition. This will be a two-round competition. A random draw determines which HG play in which round. Liz, Steve, Becky, Da’Vonne, Meg, Vanessa and John play in the first round. The competition is called “ginger fever.” They see a billboard of Kathy Griffin’s new show, but they are assigned to assemble a new billboard. They must fetch puzzle pieces and assemble a new billboard properly. The first HG to do this and hit their buzzer will be the first HOH of the week.
The first group to play is Liz, Steve, Becky, Da’Vonne, Meg, Vanessa and John. Steve and Vanessa are doing well in this competition but Becky sneaks up out of nowhere and wins the first HOH of the week. The second group is Audrey, Clay, Jackie, Austin, Jason, Jeff and Shelli. Shelli has an early lead with Audrey right behind her. Shelli crushes the competition and is the second HOH of the week.
We eavesdrop on the HG after the HOH competition. The BBTakeover music hits and they rush to the living room and hear from Kathy Griffin. She gives them a tease about having the last laugh involving her twist…This should be interesting involving who wins and who they want to prevent from voting at next week’s live eviction.
