Barclays Center and Jay Z's Roc Nation sign partnership

It looks like Jay Z is returning to Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

The rapper's Roc Nation Music has signed a deal with the music and sports venue to create "special programming" events, according to Billboard.

These events will include festivals, artist performances and showcases and events to promote Jay's streaming service Tidal.

But that's not all — Jay Z himself will perform an annual concert each year at the venue.

The "Empire State of Mind" rapper and entrepreneur was the first person to perform at Barclays Center. He performed a series of eight shows, starting on September 28, 2012, and released a digital EP of his performance, titled Live In Brooklyn, according to Rolling Stone.

"This is exciting for us because it goes so much more beyond an artist coming to Barclays as part of a tour," said Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark.

The venue's management team is aiming for the first event under the new partnership to take place within the next month.
