Kaia Gerber is said to be a replica of her famous super model mom Cindy Crawford. Recently, Kaia is stepping away from her mother’s shadow and is starting to make a name for herself in the fashion industry.
E! Online reports that Kaia has received her first modeling contract with IMG Models and has already taken photos for them.
IMG expressed their excitement by posting on Instagram of Kaia posing for Vogue Italia with the caption “NOW REPRESENTING: @KaiaGerber. Welcome to the family!”
According to Style.com, Gerber had briefly modeled before landing the agency. In 2012, she was the face for the Versace children’s line and had a photo shoot for Teen Vogue.
Fashion photographer Steven Meisel took Kaia’s pictures for Vogue Italia, which was an amazing experience for her.
Meisel has been behind many of her mother’s most iconic shots, so the fact that he is now photographing Kaia makes her realize how unreal the experience was.
Crawford congratulated her daughter by reposting the Instagram with the caption, “Guess I better watch my back…Love this shot of @KaiaGerber by #StevenMeisel from @VogueItalia!”
