David Letterman made a rare public appearance after retiring from CBS’ Late Show in May with an appearance at a San Antonio event that was only supposed to feature Martin Short and Steve Martin. But Letterman always has a Top 10 in his suit, so he came on stage to roast Donald Trump with a new list.
A video of the appearance popped up on YouTube Tuesday and shows Letterman now wearing a silver beard. (We know where the Colbeard landed!) After some jokes between him and Short, Letterman began reading off his Top 10 “Interesting Facts About Donald Trump” as if he had never left the Late Show.
While the whole list is worth hearing, here’s his last dig at the Republican presidential candidate: “No. 1: Thanks to Donald Trump, the Republican mascot is also an ass!”
After the show, Letterman and Martin tweeted a picture of the three together. “Wow, we really DO look like a Flomax ad!” Letterman wrote.
