Jessica Alba's natural brand of sunscreen sparks outrage from parents

Jessica Alba is the founder of the Honest Company brand, which focuses on making all natural products that are safe for children to use. Recently, her sunscreen product has received some horrible reviews due to its inability to protect children from damaging sunrays.

E! Online reports that many parents have gone to social media to express their disappoint with the unreliable sunscreen.

A reviewer wrote, “I bought this product from the Costco Warehouse and had a similar experience to the many disappointed parents who have reviewed here. My entire family got a sunburn even though we applied multiple times throughout the day.”

One parent in particular complained to NBC about the product.

Gretta Stabler calls herself a sunscreen fanatic because she has “a very strong family history of skin cancer.” When she saw that the Honest sunscreen brand was in her supermarket, she was eager to try the “ultra-pure” product.

She applied it on her younger daughter Maggie four times within a 3-hour period, but her kid still got burnt to a crisp.

After some investigation it was found that the Honest Company cut their zinc levels from 20 percent to 9.3 percent. Most sunscreen companies have their zinc levels up to 25%.

Although The Honest Company continues to defend the product, many stores are removing the sunscreen from their shelves.

The company's online site says that the sunscreen is out of stock, but claims that they are still selling the product despite the negative reviews.
