John Stamos enters rehab for substance abuse after DUI

John Stamos has checked into the rehab.

The Fuller House star has entered a residential program for substance abuse, exclusively reports People.

This shocking news comes one month after the actor was arrested for DUI in Beverly Hills on June 12.

As we previously reported, Stamos was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after police received “numerous calls” about a possible DUI in the area.

The star was then brought to the hospital for a “possible medical condition.” He was not arrested until tests proved he had been driving under the influence.

Stamos took to Twitter following his arrest to address the incident and thank his fans and everyone involved. “Thanks to everyone for their love & support,” he wrote. “I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care.”

He is scheduled to appear in court for his DUI on September 11.

There is no word on whether or not Stamos will still be announcing the nominees for the 67th Primetime Emmys. He was set to present alongside Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba on July 16.
