On Monday night, Marc Jacobs accidentally posted a nude picture of himself on Instagram and then quickly took it down. Now he has something to say about the whole situation.
Instagram followers got a surprising view of a waist-down shot of Jacobs. On the photo, the caption said, “It’s yours to try!” which lead to a lot of questions like if the photo was for someone.
On Thursday, Jacobs wanted to set the record straight, so he went back to his Instagram fully clothed. Paper Magazine reports that he wrote, “yeah. I accidentally posted a pic of my bare ass and took it down. I was flirting with someone I met on Instagram.”
And the truth comes out! Jacobs intended to send the picture by direct messaging, but accidently made it public. “I apologize to anyone it offended. I’m a gay man. I flirt and chat with guys online sometimes. BIG DEAL!”
Most of his follower didn’t mind too much. In fact, they supported him. One wrote, “no shame in your game. If you got it, flaunt it.”
