Taylor Swift loves her fans and makes sure they know it. When a young girl shared a video with the singer about her struggle with cancer, Swift showed off her generosity by giving the girl $50,000.
Naomi Oakes is a huge Taylor Swift fan and was excited to attend her concert in Phoenix on Aug 18.
Unfortunately, Oakes was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia in June and learned that she would have to miss the concert due to aggressive treatment.
According to E! Online, the 11-year-old will have to stay in the hospital for six to nine months.
In order to make Oakes feel better, her family created a video that asked Taylor Swift to show her support by tweeting #teamnaomi, hoping that contact from the star could cheer her up.
Instead, Swift donated $50,000 on Naomi’s GoFundMe site.
And she left a message saying, “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”
Oakes was so shocked that she claimed that she almost passed out. It’s good to see that she still has her sense of humor.
