Alison Brie and Dave Franco are engaged, the Mad Men actress confirmed by showing off her engagement ring at the premiere of Sleeping With Other People on Monday.
Brie and Franco have been dating since 2012 and it’s somewhat of a surprise they have decided to get married, judging by an interview she gave before she even met him.
She told Elle magazine she wasn’t sure if she was the “marrying kind,” explaining, "I’ve never been the girl who’s planning my dream wedding — I was always practicing my speech for the Oscars.”
Brie added, "Our parents got married because it was expected of them. Even my parents, who are hippies, felt some kind of pressure, I’m sure.
It’s hard to work in an industry that changes from minute to minute and then lock into thinking of something as forever. It’s kind of daunting. Maybe I just haven’t met the right guy yet — that’s the flip side.”
Sources told Us Weekly Franco, the younger brother of James Franco, was seen celebrating the engagement with friends at Sushi Park in Los Angeles while Brie attended her premiere.
