According to Entertainment Tonight, Stewart began the interview by complimenting Schumer on her amazing movie Trainwreck, but had to bring up the horrible shooting that occurred during one of its screenings.

“Man, what a bummer. I was like legit heartbroken to get that news,” says Schumer. The comedian was so upset by this awful event, so she teamed up with her cousin Senator Chuck Schumer to push for new legislation on gun control.

Stewart than went into lighter news when he brought up her surprise vacation with Jennifer Lawrence.

“She’s the coolest chick you’ll ever meet, and she’s beautiful,” said Schumer before Stewart could ask anything.

The comedian went on to explain that she goes on vacation with her high school friends once a year. They had decided to go to the Hamptons, but only because Martha’s Vineyard wouldn’t let them in.

“You got thrown out of Martha’s Vineyard?” asked a surprised Stewart.

Schumer wouldn’t say what happened, but she insinuated that her vacations could get pretty wild.

For this recent vacation, Schumer invited Lawrence to join them since they had become good friends. Still, Schumer couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious when photographed next to Lawrence.

“In all the pictures we took of us, I look like her coach,” jokes Schumer. “I look like I’m telling her to take a knee.”

It is good to see that Schumer is maintaining her sense of humor despite how awful she feels about the Louisiana shooting.
