Carrie Underwood is back with a brand new single and album!
The country singer announced in a video posted on her Facebook page that her fifth studio album will be titled Storyteller and will be released on October 23.
The first single from the album, "Smoke Break," was released today.
"I want to tell you guys that I have new music, woo hoo!" Underwood excitedly told fans in the video. "I have a new song and it's called 'Smoke Break' and I'm so excited for you guys to hear it. I wrote it with my good friends Hillary Lindsey and Chris DiStefano and it was produced by James Joyce."
Lindsey previously collaborated with Underwood on "Jesus, Take the Wheel," her first single from her debut album Some Hearts. DiStefano worked with her on 2012's "Good Girl," according to Rolling Stone.
"['Smoke Break'] is one of those story songs that I feel like everyone can relate to about how life is so hectic and it's so nice, if and when, you actually get to... step away for a second," she explained. "And we all need that time to ourselves to get to take a break."
"Smoke Break" is available on iTunes now.
I’m so excited to finally share this news with you!
