The mixtape debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 624,000 units in its first week alone.

Drake celebrated his achievement on Instagram, simply stating, “Platinum off the tape… Thank you once again.” He also teased his next studio album, Views from the 6, which is expected to drop later this year.

Views up next,” he wrote.

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is the second album to sell one million copies this year, after Taylor Swift’s 1989. However, Swift’s album was released in October 2014. 1989 has sold 1.463 million units so far in 2015 and 5.124 million in total, according to Rap-Up.

Platinum off the tape. Views up next. Thank you once again.
