At Elizabeth’s place, Laura told Elizabeth and Nikolas that she had realized revealing the truth about Jake/Jason may cause problems outweighing the good it would do, so she would keep quiet. However, she then added that she couldn’t stay in town and live with this lie, so she decided to go visit Lucky. She then assured Nikolas that she would be back when she figured out how to live with what they were doing. Then, Laura left and Nikolas tried to calm Elizabeth down and let her know that the secret would remain theirs.
At GH, Patrick told Jake/Jason and Sam that Hayden was waking up. They then all went in to see Hayden, who came to, but didn’t remember being shot. Jake/Jason then explained the circumstances and she began to remember, but she believed the lie that she was Jake/Jason’s wife and that they lived in Beecher’s Corner. She didn’t remember Ric hiring her and she became even more confused when Jake/Jason told her they weren’t really married. Patrick then asked Jake/Jason and Sam to leave so Hayden could rest. In the hall, Jake/Jason felt for Hayden since he woke up in the hospital confused as well, but Sam thought she could be faking. Back in her hospital room, Patrick told Hayden he was going to run a few more tests just to make sure she was okay. Hayden then told Patrick that she was one of those people that things always turn out for in the end.
Ava/Denise paced around Julian’s penthouse and watched the news, as if waiting for a specific story. Julian returned home and wondered why Ava/Denise seemed so jumpy. She replied that the news was reporting that someone was putting pressure on Sonny’s organization and she was wondering if it was Julian. He assured her that he had left the mob, but she didn’t believe him. She then offered to tell him some of her secrets, if he told her some of his. Then, Alexis arrived and interrupted their conversation so Ava/Denise went back to watching the news. Alexis explained that she she came over to assure Julian that she believed that he was really out of the business.
Sonny found a jittery Morgan at The Metro Court bar and wondered what was wrong with him. He quickly surmised it had to do with Ava/Denise. Morgan then admitted to sleeping with her and tried to explain that he had some kind of deeper connection with her than just lust. Sonny warned him that someone was bound to catch on and Morgan let him know that Silas already had. Sonny then told Morgan to fess up to Kiki first, but Morgan believed that it might not be necessary. Sonny asked why Silas wouldn’t talk and Morgan replied to just trust him. Sonny was then distracted by a call from Max and walked off.
Elsewhere, a nervous Ric returned to his room and found Nathan waiting for him. Nathan then revealed that he was there on official business and had a court order for the blanket. Ric then gave him the blanket, but said he was wasting his time since the blanket wasn’t baby Avery’s. Ric then said that Nina had a breakdown and was back in Shadybrooke since she needed help. Nathan was furious and realized that Franco had been right from the beginning and that Ric and Madeline had been working together. Ric then showed him to the door.
Later, Madeline arrived at Ric’s room for a progress report. Ric told her that there had been a snag in getting Nina’s money, but they now had a bigger problem since Nathan now knew Nina was back in Shadybrooke.
Franco walked into Silas’ apartment and found Nina holding a bloody knife over Silas’ dead body. She then said that they needed to help Silas, but Franco told her that he was dead. Franco asked her to tell him what happened and he would fix it. Nina explained that she was pounding on the door, but Silas didn’t answer. She said then she opened the door and he was just lying there with a knife in his back. She went on to say that she panicked and pulled it out to try and help him. Franco assured her that he believed her and said they had to get her back to Shadybrooke before she was found missing. He also told her not to let anyone know that she knew about Ava being alive or Silas taking baby Avery since it would look like she had motive to kill Silas. Before they left, Nina said one final goodbye to Silas.
Nathan arrived at Shadybrooke to see Nina, only to find her missing from her room. However, she soon turned up in the common area.
Back at Silas’ apartment, Franco returned and wiped the place down of fingerprints. As he walked down the hall to leave, Kiki returned from her trip and ran into him.
Ava/Denise was at Julian’s penthouse watching the news and smirking at the report of the latest attack on Sonny's business. Then, Carly showed up and barged in. "I know exactly what you've been up to," Carly warned Ava/Denise, laying into her about having her “mouth all over” Morgan. Then, they bickered about Ava/Denise and Kiki. Ava/Denise then got defensive and said that Morgan was a big boy, who wouldn't appreciate his mom butting into his personal life. Carly then warned her again to stay away from Morgan, Ava/Denise threatened her back.
After Franco finished cleaning up the murder scene at Silas', he bumped into Kiki as he was leaving. She wondered what he was doing there so he claimed he was paying her a visit, but no one answered the door. He then suggested they go out for a bite to eat, but she insisted on dropping her luggage off first. Once she pushed past him, she found her father dead. She let out a blood curdling scream and tried to find a pulse. Franco then held her as she screamed hysterically. He then took her phone away when she tried to call the police. He told her that he didn’t want to be a prime suspect again. Grabbing her phone, she assumed that he already knew her dad was dead and had called the cops. Franco then tried convincing her to back up his story, insisting on his innocence.
Valerie and Dillon played pool at The Floating Rib. She was beating him. He then brought up what had happened between her and Dante, but shrugged it off as “just a kiss.” They tried to change the subject, but then Lulu and Dante walked in. Lulu insisted on staying so they said hello. Then, Valerie announced that they were about to leave, but Lulu said this didn’t need to be awkward and suggested they spend the evening together. They then sat around and Dillon gossiped about Sonny’s latest shipment being hijacked. Then, Dante got called away to work. Once he was gone, Lulu and Dillon talked about how hard it was being a cop's wife and not knowing where they were. "So you must know how Dante felt while you were in Canada," Valerie replied. Lulu then gave her a glare and Valerie went to the ladies' room. Dillon then teased Lulu and they joked around. When Valerie returned, she decided it was time to go home so Dillon walked her out.
At GH, Felix and Brad discussed their love lives. Brad told Felix that Lucas didn't come home last night and didn't give him a chance to explain himself. Brad then added that he doubted that the explanation would help. Felix then pressured him to try.
Lucas was at home thinking about his problems with Brad when Morgan strolled in. They talked, but Morgan was really out of it. Lucas then started venting about his troubles with Brad and mentioned the double wedding. That was the first Morgan had heard about his mom getting married again. Lucas then asked him about his problems. Morgan insisted that he was okay. After Lucas went to bed, Morgan turned on the news and watched a report on Silas' death. Then, Carly came in. "Wow that's terrible," she commented while Morgan groaned.
Nathan went to see Nina at Shadybrooke. He asked her if she thought someone might be framing her for baby Avery’s kidnapping. She replied that it had occurred to her. She then remembered Franco's advice and kept quiet about Silas being the real kidnapper. She was about to explain when he got a call from Dante and had to leave. Later, she paced around until she noticed the news report about Silas' death.
Dante and Nathan burst into Silas' apartment and found Kiki and Franco still there. Dante then got Franco's bag and pulled out the knife and then arrested him. Kiki then told Franco that everyone was right about him and Nathan hauled him out.
In New York City, Sonny called a meeting of the five mob families of Eastern New York. He explained that some of his goods were stolen and turned up in Serge’s territory of Brine Beach. Serge claimed a guy came to him with goods, so he bought them to make money. Sonny believed Serge now owed him a debt, so he demanded the name of who was after him. Serge had no name to give since it was a middleman. Sonny then asked for whom the man had worked for in the past so Serge told him the Jeromes. Serge then claimed that he was only making money and that Sonny had become weak and was losing his grip on his territory. Serge then suggested Sonny cash out and go back to his island before someone took him out. Sonny then pulled out a gun and shot Serge down. The other men then drew their guns, but Miss Wu of the Wu family told them all to stand down. She felt Sonny was justified in what he did since Serge broke their alliance. Sonny then warned the others that if he found out one of them was gunning for him, they would wind up like Serge. Sonny then left.
Sam and Patrick were having a relaxing evening at home when they saw the news of Silas’s death on the TV. Sam was stunned and thought about how much Silas had helped her with Danny and to move on from Jason.
Ava/Denise watched the news report on Silas at Julian’s penthouse. Then, Julian showed up to make a drink and thought Ava/Denise could use one too. He made her a martini, which was Ava’s drink of choice, out of habit. They then discussed Ava, who Julian felt was the most selfishly passionate person he knew. Ava/Denise then bit his head off for the remark, which made him wonder what was wrong. She then told him about Silas’ death, who was shocked and didn’t understand why she was so broken up over it. Ava/Denise claimed she was worried about Kiki, who was away and might not know about it yet. Julian then tried to call Kiki, but she wasn’t answering her phone. He decided to try again later and then went to his room. Later, Silas’ ghost appeared to Ava/Denise to pour her another martini. He reminded her that she always said there was no point in regrets. She then told him that she really did love him and that she was sorry.
Carly and Morgan saw the news of Silas’ death at her place. Carly told Morgan that he needed to call Kiki and tell her about it before she found out from the news. He tried to call her, but she didn’t answer. The two then ended up in a huge argument because Carly believed he was thinking about Ava/Denise when he needed to be focused on Kiki. Morgan then told his mother to stay out of it and stormed off. He later tried to call Kiki again.
Franco was brought into the PCPD where Jordan interrogated him, Franco refused to talk. Meanwhile Dante questioned Kiki about what happened. She explained she came home early from the Hamptons since her father called and said that had something important to tell her. She then said that she ran into Franco in the hall and that he was trying to keep her from going inside. She then added that Franco knew her dad was dead because he killed him. She went on to say that she couldn’t believe she had defended him to everyone and believed that cared about her. Franco was then brought out and Jordan asked for him to be escorted to his cell. Franco told Kiki this had been a misunderstanding, but she slapped him and called him a liar. She then vowed not to rest until she made him pay.
Madeline arrived at Shadybrooke and found Nina fighting with a guard over making a telephone call. Madeline was stunned to learn of Silas’ death, but thought it was best that Nina was there to get the care she needed. Nina then told her mother that she didn’t belong there because she didn’t kidnap baby Avery a second time. She then told Madeline that Franco knew who really kidnapped Avery, but he couldn’t tell her who. Madeline thought Franco would say anything to get back in Nina’s good graces, but Nina said that Madeline had no idea what Franco had done to protect her. Madeline asked Nina to tell her, but she clammed up. Nina then struggled to take her mother’s phone in order to call Franco, but a guard came in and stopped her. Madeline then warned Nina that she would jeopardize her ability to sign herself out of there if she kept this up and she felt that she belonged there for now. Then, Madeline left.
At Elizabeth’s place, Jake/Jason told her about Hayden waking up and that she had a bit of memory confusion since she thought she was his wife. He then said that he explained that it was all a con and he was disappointed that she couldn’t tell him who he was. When Jake/Jason left to get her a refill of coffee, Elizabeth called Nikolas and left him a message about Hayden.
Sam confronted Hayden at GH about putting on an act regarding her memory. Then, Patrick arrived to check on Hayden and found Sam ordering her to fess up about Jake/Jason’s identity. Hayden told Patrick that Sam was throwing accusations at her and that she would like her to leave. Patrick then dragged Sam out of the room and asked why Hayden mattered so much to her. Then, Jake/Jason walked in on them arguing and he asked if everything was okay. Sam explained that a friend of her was murdered last night. Jake/Jason was there to see Hayden and he headed into her room after telling Sam how sorry he was for her loss. Once he was gone, Patrick again asked her why Hayden was so important. Sam told him that she and Jake/Jason found a connection between Hayden and Nikolas and she added that she was also suspicious of Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Jake/Jason checked in on Hayden, who still claimed to have no memory other than of their sham marriage.
Kiki talked with Dante at the PCPD about how stupid she felt for believing in Franco. Meanwhile, Nathan went over all the evidence against Franco with him, including that the only fingerprint on the knife was his. Franco said that he had nothing to say, so Nathan informed him he would be charged with Silas’ murder. Franco then asked to make a phone call.
At Shadybrooke, Nina was finally able to make a call to Franco, but she only got his voicemail. She then called Ric for help and he came to see her. She told him that everything was different now that Silas was dead. She also told him that she didn’t kidnap baby Avery.
At Julian’s penthouse, Ava/Denise got a call from Morgan and the two discussed Silas. Morgan was about to ask Ava/Denise something, but a knock at the door interrupted them. It was Dante, who came to question Ava/Denise about Silas’ murder. Dante asked her why she called him last night since her number was in his phone log. She claimed that she called him to invite him to a welcome home dinner she was planning for Kiki. Dante then asked about her relationship with Franco. She explained that there was no relationship and that Franco was just dating her to make Nina jealous. She then asked Dante what Franco had to do with any of this and Dante told her that he had been arrested for Silas’ murder. He then asked her to call him if she thought of anything else and then he left. Later, Ava/Denise had a flashback of leaving Silas’ apartment the night of his murder.
Kiki arrived at Carly’s place to see Morgan and broke down over finding her father’s body. Morgan thought she was in the Hamptons and asked why she came back early. She explained that her dad wanted to tell her something, but she didn’t know what. When Morgan asked if the police had any leads and Kiki let him know they had arrested Franco. Kiki then told him how Franco swore to her that he didn’t do it and that she was pressed to come up with a reason he would kill Silas.
Obrecht arrived at the PCPD since Franco chose to call her. Nathan escorted her in and Franco admitted to her that he didn’t murder Silas. When he told her about finding Nina at the crime scene, she wanted him to tell the police the truth. Franco then explained that Nina claimed she didn’t do it, but Obrecht believed that Nina was guilty just like she was guilty of kidnapping the baby. Franco then let her know that it was Silas who kidnapped the baby and suddenly he was hit with a revelation as to who killed Silas. Franco then exclaimed that Ava/Denise did it.
Back at Shadybrooke, before Ric could find out from Nina who took baby Avery, Nathan showed up to tell his sister about Silas. Ric let him know that Nina already knew. They asked if there were any leads, so he told them that Franco had been arrested. Nina swore that he didn’t do it and she asked Ric to be Franco’s lawyer. Ric refused and quickly left. Nina then told Nathan that Franco was innocent.
Elizabeth met Nikolas at The Floating Rib to discuss Hayden waking up. Nikolas tried to calm her down and promised to handle it. Elizabeth wondered what that meant. She then asked him for the truth about Hayden’s accidental shooting and if he was behind it. He smirked and insisted it was an accident. Nikolas claimed that he was only calling her bluff. Elizabeth wasn’t convinced. "Call it a coincidence and leave it at that," he urged. She wouldn't. He then confessed that he tried to have Hayden killed for their sake. Elizabeth wondered if he was going to finish the job. He asked if that was what she wanted. She didn’t because she had already done terrible things and that was too much. Nikolas wondered what they should do with Hayden then. "Hope for the best?" she suggested. He thought they should prepare for the worst.
At GH, Sam assured Patrick that she trusted him, but not Elizabeth. She then said she was sorry for not confiding in him, but she was doing this for Michael...and Jason. He replied that he got that and wouldn't let it come between them.
Meanwhile, Jake/Jason was in Hayden's room telling her what coming out of a coma was like. She couldn't remember faking to be his wife. He wondered if she could remember Nikolas. She couldn’t. He then told her all about Nikolas, but that didn't jog her memory. She then complained about “tough talking” Sam and then said that she was tired. He left her alone and ran into Patrick and Sam in the hall. The three of them then discussed keeping things from Elizabeth. Patrick didn't think she would stand behind Nikolas if he was doing something wrong. Patrick then walked off on his rounds. Sam and Jake/Jason didn't know if they could trust Hayden's claims. After they wandered off, Elizabeth arrived. Patrick bumped into her and told her that Sam thought Hayden was lying about not recalling anything.
Meanwhile, Nikolas snuck into Hayden's room and shut the blinds.
Ava/Denise was at Julian’s penthouse reading the paper. "I'm so sorry Silas," she said. Then, Morgan showed up. He warned her that the cops would want to question her about Silas. She replied that she had already talked to Dante and assured Morgan that they “we’re in the clear.” He then said that he hated how much all of this was hurting Kiki and declared that they were done. "For real this time." They then discussed Franco being arrested and wondered who he would try to blame. After agreeing to stay apart, she sobbed, they kissed and then he left. After sighing for a moment, Ava/Denise told herself to take care of Franco before it was too late.
Sonny returned home and found baby Avery and Carly on the terrace. They discussed his meetings in New York and he insisted the Jeromes were behind his shipment hijackings. She then filled him in about her confrontation with Ava/Denise. He replied by telling her about Morgan sleeping with her. That boggled her mind. Sonny then added that Silas caught them in bed. Carly then broke the news that Silas was dead and she suspected that Morgan might have done it. She then listed Morgan's many bad decisions and self-destructive behavior. They agreed to talk to him and call him over. When he arrived, Carly asked him if he killed Silas.
At Shadybrooke, Nina tried to convince Nathan that Franco was innocent. He wondered why she was so sure. She then begged him to take her word for it. Nina then made him pinky swear to investigate all of the other possible suspects.
At the PCPD, Franco told Obrecht that Ava/Denise must have killed Silas. She was impressed by his passion, but told him he would need to do better to convince the “dummkopfs.” He then explained how Ava/Denise had been passing herself off as Denise and the role Silas played in it. Obrecht didn’t think it all added up. Franco then told her about Ava/Denise and Morgan “banging like rabbits” behind Kiki's back. They then walked through the crime and he realized that he must have wiped Ava/Denise's fingerprints off the knife along with Nina’s. Obrecht thought that Nathan would find any evidence Ava/Denise left behind. She then offered to get Nathan to listen to his theory. As she left and called Nathan and advised him to listen to Franco, Ava/Denise wandered into the PCPD. After distracting the cop at the desk, she snuck into the interrogation room. "I know you killed your ex-boyfriend," Franco told her. He then laid out his theory. She replied that if he went to the cops, he would have to explain what Nina was doing at the scene of the crime.
