Gwen Stefani has filed for divorce from her husband Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage.
Stefani cited "irreconcilable differences" in the divorce papers and is asking for joint custody of the couple's three children, according to TMZ.
In a joint statement to Us Weekly, Stefani and Rossdale said, "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
TMZ also reported that the couple does not have a prenuptial agreement. Stefani and Rossdale are worth $80 million and $35 million, respectively.
Stefani will be represented by attorney Scott Weston and Rossdale will be represented by Laura Wasser. Rossdale filed his response and is also asking for joint custody.
Stefani is best known as the lead singer of the rock band No Doubt. She also released two solo albums and is a fashion designer for her own line of clothing, L.A.M.B. Rossdale is the lead singer of the rock band Bush.
The couple have three sons — Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apolo, 1.
