Bear cub takes nap in Colorado pizza shop (Photos)

Customers and employees at a pizzeria in Colorado were shocked when a bear cub wandered into and fell asleep inside the restaurant.

The Associated Press noted that a spokeswoman for the Colorado Springs Police Department said a school resource officer was already in the area of the eatery when the young cub made its way there. The bear was initially spotted wandering near a high school on Monday and when the officer went to check the report, workers at Louie’s Pizza let him know that the bear was inside their restaurant.

It seemed the sleepy cub just wanted a place to rest as it likely got in through the prep room and instead of helping itself to a pie, just laid on some boxes for an afternoon nap.

The Parks and Wildlife authorities were then called in and tranquilized the bear so it could be removed. Meanwhile stunned customers waited in the line until the bear was gone before they could be served.
