Blake Shelton talks about his 'fast' divorce from Miranda Lambert: 'We're buddies'

Blake Shelton is opening up about his split from wife of four years, Miranda Lambert, in a new interview on the Bobby Bones Show.

The Voice mentor and Lambert shocked their fans when they divorced this past summer. By the time the media found out, their marriage was already officially over.

"In Oklahoma, it happens so fast,” he explained of their quickie divorce. "Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a prenuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or 10-day waiting period until it's over."

Their agreement to split their assets pretty evenly allowed for a quick divorce process, and as they proved right after their split, he has remained “buddies” with his ex.

Shelton added, "Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this, it is what it is.”
