Victoria’s Secret model Candice Swanepoel proved that it is hard to walk in heels, even when you’re a supermodel, as she had an onstage fall during the Givenchy show at New York Fashion Week.

In front of stars such as Kim Kardashian-West, Kanye West, Ciara and fellow models like Kendall Jenner, Swanepoel fell on the catwalk that resembled a maze Friday night. The show, which was designed by Ricardo Tisci, was one of the most coveted of the week as the 2016 spring and summer collection marked the first time the fashion brand premiered a collection in New York instead of Paris.
As the sun set over the Hudson River and over one thousand guests, Swanepoel took a hard fall and needed to be helped up by three different members who were sitting in the audience.
Swanepoel shook it off and smiled as soon as she got back on her feet, but posted a photo on Instagram later that night with the caption, “Thank you to who ever picked me up off the runway tonight. Left with little scratches but mostly a bruised ego.”

The model was not the only one to fall during the show, as Elle Magazine reported, “there was an element of treacherousness in the catwalk. Stilettos and steps do not mix.”
A word from the wise, walking in heels can be dangerous, even for the professionals. Take extra caution when wearing them on your next night out.
