Donald Trump boycotting Fox News for ‘treating me very unfairly’

Donald Trump decided to go after Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly again last night and this latest round of insults culminated with his decision to boycott the network. He also called pundit Bill O’Reilly's show “boring” on Monday night.

On Monday, Trump first complained that O’Reilly “was very negative to me” by not mentioning recent NBC News polls that put him ahead in the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. He also criticised O’Reilly for having the “same old Trump haters” on The O’Reilly Factor.

Trump continued to go back and forth with followers about why he doesn’t like Fox News and then decided to take another swipe at Kelly.

This all led to Trump eventually deciding this afternoon that he will not appear on Fox News for the “foreseeable future.”

It appears that the origin of this latest round of back-and-forth between Fox News and Trump started on Monday, when they cancelled his scheduled appearance on O’Reilly. A spokeswoman for the network told the Associated Press that Trump’s behavior has “grown stale and tiresome.”

Trump and Fox News have been at it since the first GOP debate, when Kelly brought up Trump’s misogynistic comments on Twitter. Trump continued to insult Kelly on Twitter and Fox News chief Roger Ailes demanded an apology. As Politico points out, the two sides did reach a truce, but obviously that is over once again.
