The Emmys might be broadcast on one of the four major networks every year, but as is becoming increasingly clear, they are being pushed out of the way. During last night’s 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, the TV Academy showered love on HBO, but almost completely ignored CBS, ABC, NBC and the network that broadcast the show, Fox.
HBO lead the way with a whopping 14 Emmy wins and swept the top three categories. Veep won Outstanding Comedy Series, Game of Thrones finally won Outstanding Drama Series and Olive Kitteridge won nearly every conceivable Emmy for limited series.
Amazon won as many Emmys as ABC with two, while NBC and CBS won once each. Fox came home empty handed. Comedy Central won four Emmys, but FX and PBS didn’t win any.
