Jamie Lee Curtis is channeling her mother by recreating the iconic shower scene from the movie Psycho.
Variety noted that 55 years after Janet Leigh’s famous scene in the Alfred Hitchcock’s classic, Curtis is paying homage to her mom by remaking the scene for the new TV series Scream Queens.
“My entire life I have refused to step into the shower because it belongs to my mother,” Curtis said. “I have attempted to step out of the shadow of my parents for a long time. It felt like they’re both gone, and enough time has passed. This role has appeared in my life. It’s unexpected and delightful.”
It’s hard to forget the look on Leigh’s face and her blood-curdling screams when the killer ripped open the shower curtain in Psycho and now her daughter is recreating that exact scene. From the photos, the 56-year-old Curtis definitely has the look of sheer terror down.

Scream Queens also stars Lea Michele and Emma Roberts and will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 22 on FOX.
