According to Entertainment Weekly the producers of the ABC hit are exploring the idea of a same-sex relationship on the show.

“We know that community have been big supporters of the show and we would love to be able to tell a love story that reflects that,” executive producer Edward Kitsis said about Jamie Chung’s Mulan and Sarah Bolger’s Aurora.

Executive producer Adam Horowitz added, “It’s something we want to do this year. It’s something we think is due and important to do on the show. This is the world we live in.”

Chung’s return to Once was first reported by E! News. She will be on the show a multi-episode arc. Once fans noted Mulan and Aurora’s tension and chemistry during seasons 2 and 3.

Other characters coming to Storybrooke in season 5 include Merida from Brave and Merlin, King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot and Percival.

Once returns to ABC on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8.
