Peter Dinklage spit gum into wife's mouth ahead of accepting Emmy Award

To make sure he didn’t have gum in his mouth during his Emmys acceptance speech, Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage reportedly spit the piece of gum he was chewing into his wife’s mouth before making his way to the stage.

Dinklage accepted the Emmy for Supporting Actor in a Drama for his hit HBO show and he hinted at the gum exchange when he got onstage.

“I wasn't prepared at all,” he told the audience, TooFab reports. “I was even chewing gum."

While watching the video back, it’s pretty clear when Dinklage goes in for a second kiss that he’s giving the gum to his wife. Her reaction pretty much confirms it, but luckily for Dinklage, she had a good sense of humor about it.

This was Dinklage’s second Emmy win for his role as Tyrion Lannister and this year was his fifth consecutive nomination.
