Prince makes waves with new album released through TIDAL

Today marks the inception of Prince’s new studio album, Hit N Run, pushed exclusively through music streaming service TIDAL.

Hit N Run (Phase One) is a milestone in Prince’s career, clocked in as his third LP in the last two years following the 2014 release of Art Official Age and the collaboration album Plectrumelectrum with artist 3rdEyeGirl.

The 11-song LP contains the single ”HARDROCKLOVER” and a new version of ”This Could B Us” that can be checked out here.

According to online news source Prince has seen the state of musician ownership and recently described a correlation between record contracts and what he termed as “slavery.” This defensive attitude is a clear indication of his decades-old career in music, warranting an obvious attentiveness to pro-artist platforms and streaming services such as TIDAL.

Non-TIDAL consumers, do not fret; you can listen to 30-second samples of the album here.

Here is the Hit N Run Tracklist:

03. Ain’t About 2 Stop

06. Fallinlove2nite
