Stick, one of the most interesting side characters from the first season of Daredevil, will be returning for the second installment.
According to Marvel.com, Scott Glenn has signed on to appear in Season 2 of the Netflix original series. He will be featured in three episodes of the season, an upgrade from his one episode appearance in Season 1.
“In some ways, Stick is to Marvel's Daredevil what Scott Glenn has been to film and TV - a magnetic and awesome force to be reckoned with,” said showrunner Marco Ramirez. “It's an honor to welcome him back, and the Daredevil team can't wait to unleash Scott's unique brand of bad-assery upon the world in Season 2.”
Towards the end of the first season, Stick appeared back in Matt Murdock's life after training him as a child and then abandoning him for years. His final scene was rather enigmatic: a dialogue sequence with a guy named Stone about how "Black Sky" had been dealt with. When Stone asked Stick if Matt would be ready "when the doors open," Stick said he had no idea. What could that mean?
Daredevil is Marvel's first original show for Netflix, and it quickly became a huge hit and the highest rated show on the streaming service. The second season will introduce The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.
Daredevil Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in 2016.
