Second 'Millionaire Matchmaker' guest charged with brutal crime against a woman this month

John Bonavia, who has appeared on Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker looking for love with the help of Patti Stanger, has been charged with brutalizing a woman. This is the second guest of the show to be charged with a crime against a woman this month.

Bonavia was arrested on charges of suspicion of attempted murder, resisting arrest and a probation violation in Beverly Hills after police found the victim with “significant facial and upper body injuries” caused by Bonavia, 31.

Police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino told Los Angeles Times Bonavia was uncooperative at the time of his arrest. He faces domestic violence with great bodily injury and criminal threats charges, which are both felonies.

TMZ reports it was stated on the show that Bonavia has a net worth of $1 million and he’s a financial advisor.

The incident took place on Sept. 12 when neighbors called police after hearing screaming coming from his home.

This same month, Michael Bernback, 62, was charged with multiple counts of rape - forcible rape, rape by use of drugs, forcible oral copulation, sexual penetration by a foreign object, attempted sodomy by use of force and administering drugs to commit rape.

Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker ended earlier this year after eight seasons.
