This week’s column is stacked with various movie genres such as biographical, action/adventure and even a dramedy! Steve Jobs chronicles the life of Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple and his rise to the top. The 5th Wave tells the story of how a series of lethal attacks have annihilated most of the Earth, yet one girl refuses to give up trying to save her brother. Finally, Our Brand in Crisis is based on the documentary, which calls attention to the use of American political campaign strategies in South America. All three films have celebrities in their casts that are the cream of the crop in Hollywood. In addition, all three movies have tremendous emotion in their plots whether it’s shown in the divulging the life of one of the men who changed the face of technology for the world or in the courage of family to never give up on each other or in how politics in a foreign country can employ the same principles as another, but with vastly different consequences.
Steve Jobs is a biographical film starring Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogan, Jeff Daniels and Men in Black 3’s Michael Stuhlbarg. The film follows Jobs as he endures career high and lows and culminates in with the unveiling of the iMac, a computer that revolutionized the technological industry. The biography’s trailer illustrates the struggle Jobs endured to create the revolutionary machine and become CEO of one of the biggest computer companies in the world. It opens in theaters on Friday, October 23.

Cassie (Moretz) survives and then goes in search of her brother, hoping to find him before the fifth wave of attacks hits. This actioner’s trailer displays how Cassie must be on her guard every second because she doesn’t know who to trust. It then details how each attack wave weakens and pretty much obliterates Earth.
