Since Kaley Cuoco’s surprise split from her husband, Ryan Sweeting, after less than two years together, fans of The Big Bang Theory were hopeful that she would get back together with her ex and co-star, Johnny Galecki.
They have both taken to Instagram to deny these rumors, making it clear they just have a strong friendship and nothing else.
“So sorry to disappoint , but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here,” Cuoco wrote. “Me and@sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds- Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!”
USA Today reports there were also rumors that Cuoco’s relationship with Galecki is what caused her split from Sweeting, but Galecki denies there was any “homewrecking” going on.
“No scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship,” he wrote.
Galecki and Cuoco’s characters, Leonard and Penny, got married on The Big Bang Theory during the Season 9 premiere. In real life, they dated from 2007-2009.
