Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) has never shied away from controversial stories and this season is no different, as an upcoming episode will tackle the controversy surrounding the Duggar family from 19 Kids and Counting with a few twists.

E!Online reported the episode, entitled "Patrimonial Burden," will feature the SVU unit investigating a famous reality television family with a heaping pile of secrets after it's discovered the 13-year old daughter is pregnant.

Peter Scanavino, who plays Detective Carisi on the show, told the press his thoughts by stating, "With the Duggar one, it was like the double-whammy because it was his sisters and the fact—I mean, honestly, I feel like we're dealing with some topics this season that feel a bit meatier than some lunatic fringe family...I wouldn't mind doing one just because I have never been so infuriated with someone's level of hypocrisy, and lying, and then displacement of responsibility onto something else."

The International Business Times also reported that Raul Eparza, ADA Rafael Barba on the show, said some details would naturally differ from the actual events but enough of the story would remain the same to where viewers would recognize the story's origins.

The Duggar family has been the center of controversy since the news broke back in May that when Josh Duggar was 14 and 15 years old he molested five young girls, four of whom were his own siblings. He then admitted to cheating on his wife after the Ashley Madison data breach released information online that included records of credit card transactions under his name.

The episode is set to air Wednesday, Nov. 4.
