So You Think You Can Dance Reveals America's Top 10 Dancers

On last night's results show, "So You Think You Can Dance" was whittled down to its Top 10 dancers.

Contemporary dancer Caitlin Kinney and untrained popper Phillip Chbeeb were both sent home, but were promised spots on the tour, an unprecedented consolation prize.

The judges emphasized that their unanimous decision about the girl going home was based on positives, rather than negatives – they asked themselves which two girls they most wanted to keep with them, rather than who they wanted to send home.

Judge Mary Murphy told Fox News that the spectacular Bollywood number Kinney and her partner, Jason Glover, performed the first week set the bar so high that it was hard for them to live up to expectations, which probably factored into their frequent appearance in the bottom three and the ultimate dismissal of Kinney from the show.

For the guys, however, the judges admitted they were a little disappointed in Chbeeb, who was consistently brilliant in his own style, but frequently struggled with other genres.

Chbeeb was clearly affected by his cast-off, but took it in stride. RealityTvWorld.com reports that a teary-eyed Chbeeb told the audience, "I hope that if anything I've inspired some people to realize that you don't need money or the option for a studio or all those things -- if you just have passion and creativity you can do anything you want."

The top 10 dancers will be paired with new partners for this Wednesday's show, many saying goodbye to the person they've worked with since Day 1.
