Daniel Radcliffe receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Daniel Radcliffe, 26, who starred in the first Harry Potter film at age 11, received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday.

Radcliffe has starred in one of the most successful film series to date. The franchise was a financial success and set him on the road to a successful career. The first installment launched his star in 2002 and now his star was literally cemented in front of the Dolby Theater. He appeared to the ceremony in a grey-checkered suit and dark tie with his hair buzzed.

"It’s really an incredible honor," Radcliffe told Variety. "We (Brits) have a national embarrassment about people saying nice things about us, so I was taken aback at first but then I had a real sense of gratitude. Only about 20 percent of people who work in film and television end up on the Walk of Fame. It’s kind of amazing. I don’t know if they remove these things, but no matter how badly I mess up, they can’t remove it."

Radcliffe has avoided pit falling his career by making sound decisions. He goes on to say that he feels that the industry is very transient, but the star is something permanent. He already has his hands and footprints cemented at the TCL Chinese Theater, along with his Harry Potter co-stars cast mates Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

After the Potter films, Radcliffe kept acting and stayed on a productive path that led to his stare performance in Equus in London's West End, in which he appeared nude. As he became an adult actor, he chose to pursue edgier roles in The Woman in Black and Imperium. He has also appeared in Horns, Trainwreck and What If.

Radcliffe is attached to The Modern Ocean with Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves, Chloe Grace Moretz, Tom Holland, Asa Butterfield, Abraham Attah and Jeff Goldblum.
