Diddy will be giving his fans a gift on his 46th birthday by releasing new music on Wednesday, which he announced Tuesday night in NYC.
In front of a crowd that included L.A. Reid and producer Swizz Beatz, Diddy said he would drop a mixtape called MMM, which will precede his final album No Way Out 2.
"Before I used to make records when I made my music,” he told the crowd of insiders, Billboard reports. “Then I decided to make culture. And as I got older, I decided I'm going to make fashion. Ladies and gentlemen, listen and watch some fashion.”
When MMM is released today, it will be free. "That's the beauty about this project for an artist like myself and somebody that's worked so hard to be successful and understand what's going on right now and to embrace it and to learn so much,” he said.
Collaborators on the mixtape, which he's calling a "sonic motion picture," include French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, Future, Lil Kim and more.
