Lindsey Vonn is admitting it wasn’t a good choice to get into a relationship with Tiger Woods after her divorce from Thomas Vonn in 2013.
The Olympic skiier only had good things to say about her three-year relationship with Woods, which ended in May, despite rumors of infidelity on his part.
“Thomas was really my first boyfriend, so I didn’t have a lot of dating experience,” she told the New York Times of her ex-husband. “So jumping into a relationship right away after getting a divorce was probably not the smartest move on my part.”
Vonn’s divorce from her husband was finalized in 2013 after she married him in 2007.
“I don’t regret anything,” she said of dating Woods. “I loved Tiger, and I had an amazing three years with him. But it was a learning experience as well. With every relationship, you learn what you need and what you want in a partner.”
Although she would love to have children, she said her priority is her career. She admits she wants a big family like she came from, but she’s currently single.
“I have a limited window to accomplish my ski-racing dreams, so I don’t want to give that up for really anything,” she said.
