Country singer Craig Strickland missing, feared dead after going hunting in storm

Country singer Craig Strickland left to go on a hunting trip Saturday in Oklahoma during a powerful winter storm and never returned.

FoxNews.com noted that Strickland’s wife, Helen, has asked for prayers from fans that her husband makes it home safe after his boat was found capsized on Monday.

The Wrap reported that the 29-year-old singer and his friend, Chase Morland, left in the midst of the winter storm to go duck hunting. Authorities said they were last seen north of Tulsa, in Kay County, Oklahoma on Saturday but on Monday their boat and Morland’s remains were found. There has not been any sign of Strickland.

Morland sent out this now-eerie tweet before him and Strickland left for the trip.

"In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.”

The Backroad Anthem lead singer is set to do a show on New Year’s Eve in Little Rock, Arkansas.
