A former member of the All New Mickey Mouse Club, Marque “Tate” Lynche, was found dead in his home at the age of 34.
According to The Wrap, the actor who was on the show with fellow cast members like Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake, was found dead by his roommate. An investigation is ongoing as the medical examiner also looks into what caused his death.
The New York Daily News reported the medical examiner felt that Lynche’s death was suspicious in nature.
Lynche was on the show for two years from 1993 to 1995 and he later competed on American Idol in its third season, which Fantasia Barrino won.
The actor also worked on Broadway in The Lion King in 2000 portraying the role of Simba. In 2004, he joined Fame on 42nd Steet. He then took a break from acting after AI and music after the loss of his mother, but had planned to work with a recording label to release an album.
People reported that Lynche’s former co-star Dale Godboldo, spoke of the loss of his MMC cast member.
“Knowing Marque during the MCC days- as my little brother- I knew he was completely talented with a passion for the arts, and a passion for life.” He also described Lynche as having “a beautiful spirit.”
