Producer Timbaland has released a new single that was recorded by R&B artist Aaliyah before her untimely death 14 years ago.
Back in August Timbaland announced that he had some unreleased tracks by the late singer that he planned on putting out and on Christmas Day he gave us all a gift with the track titled “Shakin.”
He released the single via Twitter.

The song featuring Aaliyah singing the hook, is on Timbaland’s new mixtape King Stays King, which is said to be a preview of his upcoming album Textbook Timbo.
Aaliyah died on Aug. 25, 2001 in a plane crash in the Bahamas. She was just 22 years old at the time and was in her prime becoming one of the biggest stars in the music industry. In her brief career she racked up a number of hits including “One in a Million,” “Try Again,” and “Rock the Boat.” Prior to her death she also started an acting career and starred in the movie Romeo Must Die with Jet Li.
While she is no longer with us now her music continues to live on thanks to Timbaland.
