Tyler Farr cancels upcoming shows

Up-and-coming country musician Tyler Farr is canceling his future shows following vocal chord surgery. Farr was scheduled to open for Lee Brice on tour starting in February, but underwent surgery to have a polyp removed from his vocal chords.

The "Redneck Crazy" singer took to his website to express his disappointment to fans but added that he wants to give his performance everything he has.

“I know what it takes to get out there and really deliver," said Farr. "I hate canceling shows, especially the upcoming tour with my buddy Lee Brice, but I never want to give the fans less than everything… And I know the sooner I let my body heal, the sooner I can get back out there – and the fewer problems I will have in the long run. To me, it’s never about the next few days, but doing the right thing overall, and now I’m under doctor’s orders."

The statement concluded by saying that he is currently resting his vocal chords and gearing up for heading back out on tour this spring. "Being given a good report post-surgery, it appears his voice will return stronger and richer than ever."

A statement released from Columbia Nashville, Farr's label, said that he was diagnosed and underwent treatment for a severe case of bronchitis in 2015.

Farr came onto the  country music scene back in 2013 when he released his breakup anthem "Redneck Crazy." Since his debut, he has been on tour opening up for a variety of names in country music and continues to release singles.
