A new trailer for The Huntsman: Winter’s War is here, with more action seen in any previous one.
The film is a prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, but there’s no Snow White here. Instead, the focus is on a battle between The Evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron again) and her sister, the Ice Queen Freya (Emily Blunt). Caught in between is The Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth again) and Sara (Jessica Chastain).
Directed by Oscar-nominated special effects artist Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, it should be no surprise that the film looks effects heavy and filled with action sequences.
It is noteworthy that the trailer does remind audiences that it has a link to the Snow White story. Universal wasn’t able to make a real sequel to the 2012 film since Kristen Stewart didn’t come back.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War hits theaters on April 22.
