Guns N’ Roses co-founder will not perform with group for reunion

Guns N’ Roses fans have been pretty excited by the news that the group is reuniting after almost 23 years, but it appears that one member will not be joining his old bandmates.

GNR co-founder and guitarist Izzy Stradlin took to social media to let his followers know that, at least at the moment, he is not involved with the band’s upcoming reunion.

“At this point in time, I`ve no involvement in the upcoming April 2016 GNR shows,” he tweeted.

Stradlin also confirmed the news to Rolling Stone and addressed the rumors about recording material with the other band members.

"I've also not been in the studio recording or writing with any of the others recently. There is so much speculation, but so very little info, [that] I thought I should reach out."

As we previously reported, it was announced in January that Guns N’ Roses would hit the stage together again to play some shows including this year’s Coachella in April. Unfortunately, we now know that Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan will be down one member unless things change before then.
