Katt Williams says he punched store employee for hurling racial slur at him

Katt Williams has spoken out after his arrest on Feb. 29, accusing a pool supply store employee of using a racial slur towards him.

As we previously reported, Williams was arrested in Gainesville, Atlanta on a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly punching the employee during a a verbal altercation.

He wouldn’t tell cops what started the fight at the time of his arrest, but he’s now telling TMZ the employee “used the N-word on the last day of black history month.”

Williams gave a detailed story to the TMZ cameraman, claiming the male employee accused Williams of attempting to steal merchandise. When Williams put a lot of cash on the counter, the comedian claims the employee pocketed it.

"He thought that when he was having a conversation with me that I was in his pool store to rob it," he said. "When I put 30 items on the counter, he then thought it was just a ploy to distract him."

Ironically, Williams was in Los Angeles on his way to put in a not guilty plea to a separate case for assault with a deadly weapon.
