Simon Cowell says fans should expect solo music from One Direction

After the success of former One Direction member Zayn Malik’s first solo single “Pillowtalk,” Simon Cowell is confirming more members of the band will come out with solo music as they take their break.

Although they’re taking a long break, Cowell said it isn’t over for the group. However, we should expect solo projects from some of them. When asked about it, he said, “Yeah, there will be more. I'm absolutely sure of that."

For fans who feared the band’s extended break would mean a permanent split, Cowell also said to be on the lookout for announcements. "Lots of things are going to be announced over the next few months,” he said.

"They are the nicest people to work with," he added. "Hard working. Appreciate everything. So it won't be the end."

It’s long been rumored Harry Styles will separate himself from the group and carve his own career path. Last month, he split from One Direction’s management team and signed with CAA’s Jeffrey Azoff.
